This is a fantastic piece of Americana and Ithaca Gun Co. history. This listing is for the HOLSTER ONLY.

The Auto & Burglar gun was produced for a short time by Ithaca. It was a side by side shotgun with 10" barrels and pistol grip...a very effective and intimidating gun indeed. These guns are scarce and the holster is next to impossible to find. This is the only example of the holster that I have seen for sale privately.

The 1930 Ithaca catalog reads "A special designed sole leather holster which may be attached to one's belt or hung in a convenient place in an auto, sleeping room or bank costs $4.00."

This holster is in good condition and is still supple and functional. Some cracking to the leather surface. Most of the original embossed writing is still legible, some being worn away by use.

This great piece was obviously used for what it was intended for!... fascinating what it may of seen over the past 80 years. A couple inches of the main seam stitching needs repair as well as the endcap which is present but the thread has failed. A good leatherman could make these repairs. All brass hardware intact.
