This Remington Model 396 F Grade shotgun is a true one-of-a-kind collector's jewel befitting the most advanced Remington Custom Shop collection. A gorgeous unique gun in every respect. This shotgun has never been offered for sale to the public before now. Notice serial number RPS008...the very few earlier numbers were reserved for corporate execs but were not done as F Grade guns.

This 12ga Sporting gun was built for me personally with me specifying nearly all features of the gun in 1995. Having the privilege of knowing the Custom Shop employees personally the gun was treated to many personal touches in creating it. I was able to visit the plant often and took many detailed photos of the gun in the stages of custom shop finish work starting from the raw frame and incredible wood blanks which I hand selected. Intentions were to do a article for the Double Gun Journal featuring this fine American shotgun but time has gotten away from me but the picture album speaks for itself. This was the first time the gold inlayed "R" was used as an inlay on the bottom of the receiver. It was my design. I had to sign a release saying so.

This gun was photographed for an upcoming book on Remington factory engraved guns and engravers.

The gun is as new with virtually no signs of external wear or use. This gun has had a few rounds fired through it on a sporting clays field and it shoots as good as it looks!!

The Model 396 was catalogued with a satin grey receiver but this gun was specified with high luster blue frame with the gold inlay in classic American fashion. The engraving and inlay is one of a kind on this Custom Shop M396 gun. I have never seen another Remington gun of any description which can match the outstanding walnut used on this gun in both grain, figure and color. The gun was stocked with a "parallel comb" in Sporting gun design.

This gun is complete in a custom Remington specific Americase with factory documentation, label and accessories.

This F grade gun is priced well below current Custom Shop pricing if it were available and there is no one or two year wait for completion..... available for immediate delivery!
